99 genesis cats, distributed to holders and creators. Every cat is unique — generated from its owner's wallet address through the same trait tables. Same breed, same background, same expression, same rarity. No genesis cats were sold. Every one was earned. The last cats can only be claimed by holders of $cat above the threshold.

1. The Collection
$cat is a genesis collection of 99 unique pixel cats, each generated on-chain from the recipient's wallet address. Every cat shares the same trait engine: coat, background, eyes, posture, anomaly. Not an homage to anything. An original cat, provably yours, provably unique.
This collection was not sold. It was not minted publicly. 99 cats were distributed to holders of $cat above the snapshot threshold, and to creators who built real things for the community. There are no genesis cats for sale by the team. If you want one, you earn it.

74 cats were distributed before the threshold lane opened: 49 to holders and 25 to creators. Nobody chose who got which cat. A snapshot and a hash did.
